  • Makkal Chon is tucked away in an unassuming strip plaza in south Scarborough. The interior decor is a bit dated but pretty cozy, and there's not that much seating. In terms of food quality, Makkal Chon is likely the best authentic Korean restaurant in Scarborough. They have a wider variety of complimentary side dishes compared to other Korean restaurants in the GTA. The pork bone soup is perhaps the best I've ever had, with tender pork and rich and flavourful soup, on par if not better than more well-known establishments in Koreatown and North York. Their BBQ pork in lettuce wrap is also superb. All in all, I'd say it's a great place to check out if you're ever in the area or willing to make a trip down there to get some authentic Korean food.
