  • I was a regular at Roots for 4 years until they lost their 5 most senior stylists a few months ago. I showed up for my regular cut appt. to be told by the owner that these five left suddenly and without telling anyone erasing all their future appts. from the system. I was offered a free cut with a new stylist, Desiree, which I accepted. I have thick hair and often have a little thinning done, which Desiree recommended. I don't know what happened but my hair is a frayed, ragged mess. I went to a different salon to have 1" cut off to salvage it and it's still a wreck. Roots was a great salon; it's too bad it's best stylists are gone.
