  • This is the first time that I have had a "state" insurance that does not cover you outside of Nevada. I travel often and have put my travels on hold to protect myself from any uncovered accidents. I was told two days before my plan ended that due to an authorized broker provided by HPN that I was going to be uninsured as of the first. I did what I was supposed to do on November 15 to make sure that I was reenrolled. I am actively seeing doctors and I'm very sick and to be told that I was going to be uncovered after I just had an emergency surgery was very worrisome. After hours on the phone and no supervisor available I was told it could take 7-10 days to get an answer. That was not acceptable to me due to the fact that I did everything I was supposed to do and it was a error on their behalf. I found out I can go to an actual location and I called to verify hours. They told me they would be there until 5 o'clock. When I got there at 4:30 they told me it was a holiday so the sales department decided to go home early, how is that fair to anybody should I have to suffer during the holiday? I told them I refused to leave until they were able to get me into a plan. After five no's, I told them that if anything were to happen I would make sure to come back and sue them all individually... How funny is it that they came back with a temporary policy until they are able to figure out their mistake. Five days into the new year they were able to change my policy after weeks of my medical services being postponed. I called to make sure all six of my referrals on my previous insurance plan rolled over Andy representative informed me that they were closed and removed... How can you close and remove a referral if I never went and got it done? So after calling Verizon and calculating how much time I spent with HPN I calculated over 14 hours of wasted time. This company is a joke, and it is sad when their own employees believe that as well.
