The historical significance of this theatre is lovely, but it's beyond me why the management can't make better efforts for sold-out performances (just saw Book of Mormon). You're making lots of money. Bathrooms: for heaven's sake, add some discreet outdoor port-a-potties until you get this fixed. I'd be thrilled to use one and get back to the show on time. Concession: come on, add more staff and improve the line -- you'd sell far more since most people just glance at the line and walk away. Acoustics: you should issue a disclaimer and offer headphones. Nothing like spending a fortune for tickets and hearing indistinct dialogue. Carpets: I happen to know there's lots of carpet cleaners in Phoenix. The shabby state of the carpets with filth and stains is embarrassing for a "fine" venue. Parking: send time and parking recommendations along with every ticket sale, warn people to arrive far in advance. Apologize for the mess, get better signage (!), and more traffic directors. We had to wander around and guess where the best parking was. Never did see a sign with something like "recommended Gammage parking" which would have helped. Don't assume people coming to a show know their way around.
