| - I have been going to Billy's since it opened and have been a regular ever since! The location seems a little unconventional - the bar is located in a hotel and the front patio sits in the parking lot (don't worry - you're not at risk at getting run over), but don't let this fool you. Once you enter, you have two bar options - one through another set of doors with a fireplace and dark lighting or you can walk ahead and sit at a bar with an exotic flare and louder atmosphere. I, myself prefer the room with the fireplace.
If you like martinis, this is your spot. The list is extensive and all are VERY well made (the bartenders know what they're doing) and the greatest part is not only is the martini glass large, you get a double shot of what's left so essentially you're getting two martinis for the price of who (who doesn't love a good two-fer!?!) Anyways, I would recommend the traditional dirty with blue cheese stuffed olives (what most would say is my signature drink) and I'm totally obsessed with the key lime pie (complete with graham cracker crust dusting the rim), but you can't go wrong with any of their choices!
As for the food, I REALLY like it, but there's no real LOVE affair going on here. I usually come here to get appetizers or to lightly pick on some food over drinks and a great convo. If you are going to order, I suggest the hummus (oh. so. good), the capri salad, and any one of the pizzas (they're flatbread and cooked to crispy perfection).
Make sure to check their facebook page for the happy hour specials - I know for sure Wednesday night is ladies night and that means half price martinis. I will say I'm a little biased because I know all of the bartenders by name, but anyone I have ever sent here has never had a problem with the service and thought they were all really fun and friendly. Overall, if you're looking to unleash your inner James Bond, then head here - especially since all of their martinis are "shaken, not stirred".
