| - Oh, red roof Inn, but for a pile of dog poop you could've had maybe two stars.
To start, check-in was glacially slow. I'm sure several ice caps melted while I waited. The lady checking me and was friendly, however. I didn't want a room on the scary first floor but at that point I just wanted not to wait anymore. The room was tiny and smelled strongly of disinfectant. Despite that, I wouldn't say it seemed clean. The door appeared to have been kicked in at some point. No coffee maker but I was expecting that so I had brought my own. But no hairdryer? Not very late into the evening, the people above me began making a lot of noise. First, it was what sounded like high heels. Then I kept hearing what I can only describe as giggling Asian females being dragged around the room in boxes. Really, I have no idea what was going on. I did call the office at that point. All night long I was kept awake by people talking, and apparently at one point fighting, outside my door. When I left my room at about 630 a.m., I saw that someone had let his or her dog defecate near my door, right along the path to my vehicle. Luckily it was light out. I immediately went to the front office and reported this and the guy just kept saying "aw, geez. " I get back sometime after three and, what do you know, the dog poop was still there. Then I overheard what sounded like some staff members, including"Valery" (I'm not kidding, spelled that way) arguing about who would clean it up. Valery commented "it is NOT right in front of her door," apparently not seeing it as a problem. At that point I had left a tip for "Valery" in the envelope they put out for you. I quickly retrieved that tip. It is now 6 PM and no one has bothered to clean it up. You'd think they'd be a little more concerned about the appearance of their establishment. Of course, the people whose dog left it there should clean it up but I imagine they are long gone. Also, the parking lot is very small and difficult to maneuver. It's a scary, dirty place and no way would I ever stay here again.
