Totally hyped to finally get to try out this Ice cream place without having to go downtown! I came in here on a Saturday afternoon of the long weekend and was expecting to face a long line up of patrons. As I bee lined to get my ice cream fixing I was surprised to find the store scarcely vacant - no line up at all!
My enthusiasm for the ice cream slowly started to diminish as I approached the counter. The cashier handed me a clipboard of a more detailed menu of the offerings than what was posted on the markee above. Did no customers mean it wasn't that great or was I late to hop on the sweet jesus band wagon?
Anywho I already new which Ice cream flavour I wanted as I follow them on instagram.
Sweet Baby Jesus - Caramel soft serve, chocolate sauce, peanut butter caramel sauce, chocolate peanut crumble
It comes in two sizes biggie and smalls and you can get it in a cone or cup.
Obviously I went cup because I'm not fond of cones and I got the smalls because I wasn't sure if it could live up to my expectations.
I inquired if you could make any changes to the flavours but all your allowed to change is the flavour of soft serve used. I asked to switch to chocolate soft serve as I'm not really a fan of carmel.
Minutes later my ice cream emerged and as I delved into my first bite...I was hooked! It was delicious! The soft serve texture is super creamy soft like an icecream truck style which I totally dig but honestly the best part was the peanut butter caramel. Like I said I don't care for caramel flavoured things but I adore peanut butter and this sauce was sooo good! The perfect balance of sweet and salty! I think that's what really hooked me. The only downside about this ice cream was it's super messy! Definitely not something to eat in yoir house because as I was cracking into that tasty crumble coating pieces where falling off. I guess it's fine if your on the go and don't care that parts of your ice cream is littering the mall floor. Overall I'd say it's definitely worth a try plus it's a way shorter line up than the Baskin Robbins and you get a cool aqua spoon!
