  • This has quickly become my favorite place to pick up groceries. It's much more than your ordinary shopping experience. First of all, the have an epic produce section. I'm tired of overpaying for the essentials at vons. No kidding, you can get 2lbs of jalapeños for $1 and 2 large avocados for $1. Habaneros are only $1.99 a lb, compared to the 5.99 I'm used to paying everywhere else. The meat market is amazing.. So many great selections of meats and various cuts you just can't find at other markets. There tends to be a long line for assistance from a butcher on the weekends though, so be prepared for a little wait. Pro tip: they have reasonably priced beer so this is a great place to stock up. They have some craft beers available for a decent price, but this store is mostly ideal for adjunct lagers and other cheap beers. They always have a good special on 30 packs so keep an eye out! They have a juice bar and a variety of Agua frescas available if you need a fresh, cold drink while you shop. I absolutely recommend eating lunch or dinner here before you start. They have a surprisingly good taqueria in the store, serving up tacos, burritos, Tortas and more. I tried the food for the first time today and loved it. I got a chicharron verde burrito (meat, rice, beans). My wife tried a carnitas torta. These meals were only $4.99 each, and provided a massive portion of food. Come hungry is all I can say. The meats are tender and fresh tasting.. I'll definitely be eating here every visit!
