| - Our experience has been a nightmare! My boyfriend took his 2012 Nissan Versa for a routine oil change on a Wednesday and they of course, said, he needs new tires and a new belt. We got them thinking we DID need them anyway. But also, there had been some noises on the car that he addressed while he was there but the workers said they couldn't figure it out. We decided we'd just take it back on the weekend to get it checked because he had work the next few days so there would not be enough time.
The very next night (Thursday), on his way home from work, the car wouldn't accelerate at all! It just stopped while he was at a stop sign. The car had to be pushed all the way to the house at 3am! Few hours later on Friday morning, the car would not start at all! No clicking noise, just a whirring sound. We tried to jump it many times to no avail so it was not the battery.
We had it towed here on Sunday and after working on it for a few hours, they said it was the starter. They ordered a new starter and said it would be done by Monday. Monday afternoon comes and they retracted their statement and now said it's not the starter and suggested for us to take it to the dealership because it has something to do with the car's transmission. We got it towed to the dealership on Monday and on Tuesday, the dealership was baffled and let us know the original starter and other bolts were oddly in the trunk! They were so shocked that Firestone didn't have the professionalism to at least put the starter back on. The same one they took out and somehow realized was not causing the problem we went in there with! We had to pay for the dealership to put the damn starter back on, something Firestone should have done before we had it towed to the dealership!
Correlation or not, Firestone worked on his car Wednesday, car shut down on Thursday, took out his starter on Sunday because they said that was the problem, told us "Whoops, never mind, it wasn't the starter." on Monday, had the car towed to the dealership then dealership technicians pretty much shook their heads in confusion as to why the car's starter was in the damn trunk and not put back where it's supposed to be as a courtesy of taking it out when it wasn't the problem in the first place.
Needless to say, we will never EVER do business with these people again. Sad to be with the other Yelpers on here that had the same 1-star experience.
