  • I went here a few times for laser skin care, so this review is not a review directly towards Dr. Richards or any surgeries. I have mild rosacea- I scheduled through the front desk in about September of 2017 for laser genesis (online it says that it is good for treating rosacea). When I arrived at my appointment, everyone was so nice and the facility is so beautifully laid out. I had my appointment with Joy, and she told me that I should do a hydro-facial first and then do the clear and brilliant laser instead of the laser genesis. The hydro facial went alright, but I was reluctant to do it because I did not want to spend money on something I didn't actually want. She prepped my skin with a "gentle cleanser" and I reacted to it immediately. I started to rash, and I told her not to worry because I am allergic to so many skin products, so I told her it was not her fault. I also warned her that I was allergic to acetone and to not use it on my skin. So we did the hydro facial, and it did not do anything for my skin. The next appointment I made, I did the clear and brilliant laser. The day before I had the appointment she called me and tried to reschedule my appt because she said she had double booked. We rescheduled to a later time but I told her I cannot do that that often because I am in the military and I have to take leave for these appointments. (I also live about 30 miles away from this place). Before doing the laser, she tried prepping my skin with acetone and I told her not to because I reminded her I was allergic. After doing this clear and brilliant laser, I didn't notice anything different. One month later, I had another appointment for the clear and brilliant and I told her if this one doesn't show any difference, I want to try the laser genesis (which is what I wanted originally). She agreed, and started prepping my skin with acetone and when I smelled it I told her to stop because I am allergic (she should already know this and have it properly documented). Then she proceeded to use the SAME cleanser that made me react the first time I came in, and at this point I was pissed. She should have these things properly documented and review the documents before she does anything with a patient. My face was turning purple due to all of the products on my face that I was allergic to. She felt so bad and told me to come in later that day and I told her I couldn't do that because I live so far away. So she said that I could come back in a couple weeks to do a laser genesis (for free) and I said sure. I left very upset but I didn't want to make a scene. So a couple weeks goes by and on the day of my appointment she calls me and tries rescheduling me to another date. I called her very frustrated and told her I could NOT reschedule because I had already worked with my supervisor and got the time allotted to go to my appointment. After all that was figured out, I went and did the laser genesis and it worked. I was sooo relieved that something finally worked so I made another appointment for the laser genesis for the next month. Then she tried to reschedule me the day of my appt AGAIN. I talked to her and told her I was extremely frustrated with her and that I would not be back to see her. Joy is a very new technician and does not seem to know her job very well. I really hope she does learn and no one has to experience what I did. Lynette is a more experienced laser technician and should anyone need laser skin care, I would go and request her instead.
