Charleen Badman is nothing short of brilliant. Dinner at FnB exceeded expectations (which were high) from the outset.
Peruvian chicken spring rolls, crisp on the outside, soft and savory within, were offset by an eye-opening tomatillo sauce. A spicy-sweet chicken entree was all about flavors that popped, and did so in harmony. I love that Badman respects vegetables every bit as much as proteins. Roasted multicolor carrots with harissa, avocado and dukka (an Egyptian spice mix) amounted to springtime on a plate.
My only regret is that I don't live in Arizona.
