  • What a fantastic zoo! It's apparent that very careful attention is paid to the animals and their care here. The enclosures are well-designed and well-maintained, and each themed area was well laid-out. The weather was great and nearly every animal was out and active. The baby polar bear was definitely the highlight of our visit. We're not members but it looked like there were many perks to being a zoo member. When we visited there were some member-only activities going on including a sneak peak at the new Africa exhibit and a walk through the kangaroo exhibit (which we really, really wanted to do). We ended up doing a lot of walking because the zoo is so big, but it's hard to complain about tired feet after seeing so many animals! It certainly helped that we took a little poutine break at the Smokes food truck. We'd go back here in a heartbeat.
