| - I bought a voucher for teeth whitening at this location. The pricing on the voucher was very good, and was for two sessions.The location was easily accessible and nice and quiet (in a good way). I appreciated the TV in the room where the whitening was done - no one wants to sit and be bored for 40 minutes, and reading or looking at your phone was nearly impossible because of accomodating for the lamp.
First the mouth guard thing goes in to hold your mouth open and keep your lips off your teeth. Then cotton inside your cheeks, I assume to stop excess drool (I managed to drool on myself anyway). Then the technician puts vitamin e on your gums (so they don't dry out?) and the gel on your teeth, then your stylin' anti-laser goggles, and positions the LED light in front of your teeth.
The lady doing the procedure was very nice and accomodating. My only issue is this: my teeth were not horribly dark and yellow in the first place, but they weren't perfect and I have some staining near the gums, so I was hoping this would help. Unfortunately, the gel was applied with a qtip, and only on the "outer" half of my tooth (the parts closest to the edges). The parts of my teeth nearest the gums did not get gel, I assume because the gel is not supposed to touch your gums. I understand this, however, it led to my teeth being much whiter where they weren't stained - and therefore, taking stains that were not very noticeable before, and making them more noticeable. I think if the gel was applied with a different tool (maybe a small brush?) it would be easier to cover the whole tooth, instead of just parts of it when smearing on gel with a qtip.
The process didn't hurt at all, but it was a little uncomfortable, only for the guard holding your mouth open and your lips away from your teeth.
My only other issue with this was that the voucher was for two "twenty minute sessions". I was offered two more sessions at the same price after the procedure. But when I was leaving, I noticed they were selling two 30 minute sessions for a (comparabley) lower price. I paid $45 for two twenty minute sessions, and two 30 minute sessions were $59. Plus, it made me wonder what their normal time is for "sessions". I don't like when it seems that the voucher system is set up only to draw people in for more sales, instead of for drawing more customers to a business.
I hate to be the first reviewer and giving a partially negative review, but I don't think the teeth whitening is something I would pay full price for from this facility.
