  • My first review was 2015 and I have never chosen to go anywhere else other than Sunset Nails. I'm super loyal to them, and I'll tell you why. When I walk in, everyone (and I mean everyone) greets me warmly, they know who I am (and I've seen them talk to others -- they know ALL their repeat customers by name -- they make it a point to know you and know what you like!), and they know exactly what I want (I'm super sensitive nerve-wise so they don't do a lot of the things that come with a normal pedicure with me, which I'm ok with because some days I can never tell if everything that touches my skin is painful or if it's ok). What I'm trying to get to is that they care about my happiness. They joke and laugh with me. I feel like a part of their nail salon! The one thing I'd love to impress upon people when reading this is that I've been to a lot of nail salons that have treated me poorly. They treated me like a commodity. NOT HERE. They have never been rude. They have never tried to pressure me to do anything. They have always been respectful of me. I make it a point to be respectful and courteous back. I've seen the customers that come into the shop while I'm there that treat them disrespectfully and walk all over them and their response has always been kind. I don't know if you've ever seen this, but people can be so rude! I understand that you are paying for a service, but these skilled people won't be there if you don't treat them well, so it's a two-way street. Anyway...rant over (ish). I had the luck to get 10 min of the shop by myself before the masses came piling in and it was like I was with friends. I was undecided on a color and they picked three out and we picked it together, I even let Linh scrub the feet a little more because no one was in the salon to hear me yell (and they didn't mind it), and we even sang a little to the music playing in the background. My nails NEVER chip and usually when I go back, they are taking all of the nail polish they put on because none of it flaked or peeled off. None of it! And usually, it's a while before I go back because I get so busy! But even after a month, I STILL got compliments on my pedicure. I love this little place! It is special to me and I promise you, it will be special to you too.
