  • I just got a turntable serviced here (JVC QL-Y3F). It sounds like a million bucks, and I couldn't be happier. They installed a new cartridge, lubed, cleaned, and made all tonearm adjustments so the table was plug-and-play when I got home. As I was leaving, Jason (the guy who cleaned and repaired the table), ran out and helped me carry it to the car in the freezing cold. He answered my questions about cleaning records and the stylus and was pretty much the nicest guy you could hope to meet. Prices: $225 for an Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge, $50/hr in bench costs. Turned the table around in one week. Five stars! Thanks to everyone at PIAS.
