What can I say. This place is art in it's truest form (at least as far as cafes go). Tim, the owner, greets you as if you've known each other for years and are just catching up after being away for a while. The feel of the place is like a nice quaint cafe in a small town. You really forget the hustle and bustle of your day.
Let's start with the main attraction though. Pies! There is a good selection of different pies to try (I've currently tried Bumble berry and Peach) and they are great from start to finish. The crust alone is miles above most pies that I've tried and the ingredients are really good too!
For an extra $2 you can get a scoop of icecream on the side. For drinks Tim serves coffee, a selection of 7-8 loose leaf teas or lemonade.
The great thing is for $10 two people can have a perfectly portioned slice of pie, ice cream and tea (with free refills of hot water) and stay however long they want! I think this is a much better proposition than what you get at Starbucks or other chain coffee shops as you'd easily spend more than that and not get the same experience.
Oh and yes, there are cards, books and board games available.
I'm definitely becoming a regular now.
Thanks Tim.
