Interesting collection of art galleries and music shop items . The little bar is very cheap and the people are friendly . We did some research on this building on Fremont St . Yes it was a small Medical Center for a while BUT before that is was the downtown JC Penny store . If you look at the old pics of Fremont St you will see Sears and JC Penny across from the El Cortez . One block down was Woolworths which is now the Heart Attack Grill . Makes this place a piece of Las Vegas history. Forgot to mention they have excellent coffee in the Beat Coffee shop. Also be sure to wander around upstairs . This place is a good change from the constant gambling on Fremont St .Just received some new info . As is true Vegas style the Beat Coffee shop is closing and a new Café is being built on the first floor . The building is now owned by the El Cortez Hotel and Casino . The new café is sched to open in mid 2017 I will review the new café when it opens . The word is that the galleries upstairs will still be there . Things in Las Vegas are constantly changing !
