| - Currently so upset with my hair I wanted to cry last night.
Last night I was already upset that I had to walk out on another salon prior to coming to this one because they had me waiting way too long when I had an appointment.
The only plus, but barely, is that this salon took me as a walk in. However, that's not that uncommon for a mall hair salon. To begin, I sat down in the chair and the first thing she says is that my hair is so dry. Maybe it's your job to inform clients of this, however; as you can imagine, I already knew that. That's why I wanted a trim. So she really didn't take the time to listen to what I wanted and what I had in mind. It was just "your hair is so dry, you're going to need to cut off this much" which was way more than I wanted. I told her I wanted just maybe an inch off. She walked me over to get my hair wash. During this whole process, she did not offer to take my coat. I held it in my lap during the wash and the cut. I have never experienced this at any salon. The chair at the washing station was SO high. I'm not sure if that's how they all are or if they actually lower, but she did not lower it for me. This is dangerous especially with that metal bar around the bottom of the chair. It was tricky hopping on and off, as I was trying to prevent my feet from slipping off the bar and or getting my legs trapped in the space.
I'm now in the chair for my cut and she continues to go on about how I should get a treatment done on my hair because it's so dry. I ignored her. The whole time she was cutting , I was so nervous. I felt like she just kept chopping and I couldn't really tell how much she was taking off. So many times I wanted to tell her to stop, but I didn't want it to be uneven or anything. Anyways, I didn't get it blow dried, so when I left, dried it and finally saw the end product I was SO upset! It was so choppy and she created some new layers that did not blend AT ALL. I did ask for front layers, but she totally messed up what I already had. I just wanted to touch up the layers I already had. I tried to fix it myself to even out all the choppiness. UGH
Also, once I went to go pay, their debit machine was down so she had to walk me over to another salon and I had to pay there?? Maybe they're owned by the same person. Anyways, service was not welcoming or friendly at all. I just wanted a quick trim and thought that was something someone couldn't mess up THAT much. I was wrong.
