I waited to give my review until a month after I moved out. I was here for almost a year. I needed the cheapest place I could get as I was moving from the slums of Hawaii and really wasn't picky. My rent for the non upgraded unit was around $650, very cheap compared to all the other places I've lived. The application process was extremely quick and pain free. I rented from afar, so I didn't know what to expect. Management was always very friendly to my son and I.
My unit was livable yet a little cramped for my son and I, but I knew what I was getting myself into. I loved the huge walk in closet as well as vaulted ceilings in the living room and kitchen area. I loved the close proximity to downtown restaurants and bars as well as Walmart and many many other stores.
My apt was by the "tennis" courts. I was honestly shocked that it was very quiet most of the time. Minus that one yappin dog that an owner left at home all night.
I saw ZERO cockroaches, only a fly or two that flew in from my door being open.
My Gripes: The 1 bedrooms are tiny and I hated the bathroom being in my room. Although, it's probably more suitable for a couple or one person. I'm also not a fan of the noise of wall A/C units, but it did cool my place in less than an hour and my APS bill was low. . It seems like the maintenance guys spent A LOT of their time fixing a/c units all summer long. But when my garbage disposal broke down, they came within 48 hours to fix it. Last but not least, Every damn person In the complex smokes cigarettes outside it seems. I can even smell smoke in the laundry room due to a bench and cigarette receptacle being right outside it.
Move out was a breeze. Got my whole deposit back because I kept the place clean and cleaned my butt off before move out.
