  • Delicious food and a great ambiance at this iconic chef's restaurant inside of The Mirage hotel and casino. The seating and decor transport you to a tucked away London bistro. The staff is very friendly and the service is phenomenally fast! We came in on a Saturday night and were seated within about 5 minutes of arrival. Our server, Stacy, was a doll and did a fantastic job of making us feel right at home. While we loved how amazingly comfortable our seats were, they were a little low to the ground relative to our table, which made dining slightly awkward (but not overly problematic). For our first course, we chose from their impressive selection of draft beers and appetizers. I went with a pint of the delicious Scottish Ale by Innis and Gunn. It was very tasty with a dark golden color, light body, crisp mouthfeel and subtle whisky/vanilla notes. We also ordered Chef Ramsay's special kettle chip nachos, which were incredible and lasted maybe 5 minutes. The crispy potato chips were generously dressed with a cheesy mornay-like sauce, peppers, green onion and lots of tender beef. Absolutely superb! For our entrĂ©es, we tried the fish n chips and shepherd's pie, both of which were excellent. The cod was fresh and flaky and the batter was perfectly light and crispy, yet firm enough to hold up to the thick cut of fish. My only critique is that it was somewhat lacking salt. The chips were perfect as was the housemade tartar. The Shepherd's pie was also fabulous, with mounds of fluffy mashed potatoes elegantly piped atop a generous helping of savory lamb stew. It was packed full of flavor! Finally, for dessert, we used the Yelp check-in coupon and tried the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was just superb. The flavor profile was so complex with the delicious flavor imparted by the dates really shining through. The salted caramel ice cream that crowned the dish made the flavor even more sophisticated and incredibly addicting! Overall, this is a great place to stop in for a nice, slightly upscale, yet comfortable dining experience. A must-see for any Gordon Ramsay fan.
