  • Sadly, an attitude ruined our meal! This was my second visit to LBS and the first one was a good experience, but I learned to return to restaurants before I write reviews, and I'm glad I did! The restaurant both times was not busy (a bad sign). The first visit we went for the firecracker shrimp appitizer and it was great! The first time I ordered a cheese burger it was good but a bit to heavy so the second time I went for the regular ol' burger. It amazed me both times they asked about temperature because I thought it was law that burgers require a certain temp. Either way I ordered med well and my partner med. Both were well done (why did they bother asking?). We had one server FINALLY come over for our drink order after 15 minutes and us staring down the staff gossiping and talking about partying near the order station. Strike one! My beau is a "plain Jim" but a burger freak! So plain it was ordered meat and bun nothing else. As usual, he was asked about onions and condiments! Oh goodness! He ALWAYS specifies "plain just the meat and bun, nothing else". Strike two! My burger was good upon arrival, even though it was just a simple burger with no special requests. So I'm thinking-Okay, maybe they will recover? WRONG! My beau's burger arrives with condiments scraped off the bun. Wait, did I mention that he despises condiments??? So he sends back the burger, the burger returns to him with now seared condiments on the burger. At this point were pressed to get to our movie, but it still takes nearly 10 min. before someone comes by to check on things even though it's obvious one of us hasn't touched a bite. Finally, I call over a hostess and we asked for our bill. She notices that one of our meals is hardly touched and asked if we need a box as well. At that point my boyfriend politely asked for the bill again and informed her it was the worst burger place he had ever been to. To the managers credit, she did come over and comped our meal . Thus my reasoning for two stars instead of one. What a shame that an employee with such a bad attitude OR a poor company policy would run customers off!
