  • We live in the area and have been visiting Hot Oven Bakery for over a year. Overall, it's hit or miss, with the (really) good stuff keeping us coming back almost every week! Hit: Friendly, efficient service. It's often busy but they move people through. Bread selection. Olive Bread and Jalapeño Cheese Bread are awesome. Beef Samosas, very tasty! PIES AND TARTS! Raspberry and Blueberry are the best pies. Apple and passion fruit tarts are great too. Croissants (in the morning). Chocolate ones are great! None of that cheap filling. Miss: Cookie selection. Assorted, but we found the cookies looked a lot better than they tasted. They didn't taste bad, just bland. Custard Tarts (Pateis de Nata). Don't know if they changed bakers, but they were good a year ago, then inconsistent... now just consistently bad. Baklava. Good taste but dry! **No credit cards. Also, after 6:00, bread on sale for $2.00**
