After scheduling an appointment for them to come fix a seal on the bottom of our door that was leaking, I was never given a price or estimate so I called back and asked someone to tell me. They had the owner call me and he said there was no way of knowing how much it would cost until the technician came out, then we could decide whether we wanted to proceed with the repair or not.
The technician came out an hour later ran the scheduled appointment (he did call to tell me he was running late) and we reviewed everything and he proceeded to charge a $60 service fee. When I told him I spoke with the owner specifically about pricing and the owner didn't mention that he threw his hand out, shook my hand and stormed off in front of both of our toddlers.
After reading other reviews, this "service charge" was also a surprise to others as well. Service charges are completely understandable, but should be told over the phone prior to arrival. And no technician needs to storm off in front of my children.
