I'll start with the good: The rooms are very nice for the price you'll likely pay. The floor-to-ceiling windows are a nice touch, and the rooms come with fridges, too - always a plus. Plus unlike other hotels, I haven't had a constant problem with backed up shower/sink drains or other plumbing issues. Everything is very clean and in order.
Now the bad: Since Boyd Gaming took over, this place is going downhill:
1) They completely removed the video poker machines with the best payouts.
2) The steakhouse (Carve) was one of my favorites, but they've completely crappified it. They've neutered the menu to the point where I don't think they can even call it a steakhouse anymore. I used to love coming here and getting the ribeye, and now they don't even serve it. What kind of a steakhouse doesn't serve ribeye??
Who knows what other changes are on the horizon - and i doubt any of them will be for the better.
