I went to this location this weekend with my mother on the LivingSocial deal: 1-hr "Relaxation Massage" for $35, normally $79. We arrived about 15 minutes early and were greeted by the front desk lady. She was very friendly and offered us refreshments while we waited.
My therapist asked what pressure I wanted and I stated firm and to please work mainly on my upper back and neck as I have knots. Although the therapist kept asking throughout the appointment if the pressure was too much, it was actually the opposite: not enough. I would rate the pressure light-to-medium at most.
When I conferred with my mom afterward, she said the same thing about her therapist: not enough pressure even though she asked for pressure. Perhaps this facility trains their therapists that "firm" is actually "medium" or something, who knows?
Overall, not bad for $35, but if I had paid full-price, I would have been upset. This isn't a place I would ever go back to since I get better massages at my chiropractor's office with his massage therapists.
24 hours later, I can't help but be disappointed since my back is just as stiff as ever so the massage did nothing to help relieve any stress or stiffness.
