I got a good deal on a rental through Hertz. When I arrived, I was immediately told about an available Ferrari. OK, I'm a middle-aged man so I figured they figured it was worth a shot. After I declined and explained that the car I requested was fine, I was offered the additional insurance. I told the agent I did not want the additional insurance because I had full coverage on my automobile at home and my credit card covers the additional insurance. The agent then tried to sell me on prepaid fuel and on roadside assistance. I told the agents I did not want prepaid fuel and I didn't see the need for roadside assistance as that should be included in the contract. The agent then tried to push the Ferrari again. I again said no. He handed me the receipt and I went to go get the car. When I checked into the hotel and started to review the receipt I realized I was charged for prepaid fuel roadside assistance and full coverage. My bad as I should have checked the receipt before I left. This is my second time renting from Hertz. The first time I rented a car in Hawaii, I rented a convertible Mustang. When I picked up the car it was full of water and smelled like cigarette smoke. When I complained I was told well somebody must have left the convertible top down. They then told me they had no other cars available and that was my only option so I took it. Two bad car rental experiences with Hertz and I'm done. NEVER AGAIN!
