| - This is my personal experience at this location- and any feedback from management doesn't fix what happened, this is just to share with possible renters looking for an honest experience. I lived in San Travesia for about 3 months (Oct - Dec 2015) before I had to transfer out to another MT property. Thankfully the new property is not as loud as this one. The noise at this location is just ridiculous, and don't even get me started on the parking (other people have already mentioned it any way). We were located near the pool area which was a nonstop party, I called security way too many times while we were there for a short time. I would have NEVER moved here if I have any inclination this was going to be a party area. The final straw was during one of the pool parties when some guy got naked and jumped in while screaming just before 3 AM (the office said they caught him on camera and sent him a notice but who knows). Oh and this was on a Thursday night, every night of the week was loud.
Initially when we toured the property, it was mentioned security would be walking around (sounds great right?). They didn't mention they would only be walking around 3 nights a week for about 1 hour a night, and any other time you have to call security and wait (up to an hour) for someone to show up. I ended up having to walk down to the pool area myself and ask people to be quiet. So on top of paying $1600 for a 1 bedroom apartment, we were also having to police the pool area ourselves. After going into the leasing office and complaining many times, we asked them to remove us from the 12 month lease we signed since we felt mislead with security promises and "quiet hours", but they said we could only transfer. They didn't offer any solutions for us (they couldn't increase security because of the cost and the pool had to be open 24 hours cause it's their 'thing') other than to transfer to another community and they would waive the transfer fee. So we ended up having to pay for moving costs on top of having to move after 3 months. However, getting away from this community was the ultimate goal any way.
Honestly, signing a lease here was the worst mistake I have ever made for a living arrangement. I go to bed at 11 PM to be able to get up for work at 6 AM Mon-Fri, and if you have this type of schedule- I wouldn't move here. They are poorly constructed and you can hear EVERYTHING above you as well. They look very beautiful, but unless you are a college student who wants to party at the 24-hour pool, don't rent here. The noise here is unbearable. We worked with the leasing office and the only option was to leave. The management has a serious noise problem here, and asking residents to just tell them about the problem or to call security themselves isn't going to fix it. Seriously, figure out your noise problem or let possible tenants know that it's a party community for the young 20's crowd.
