Today I found a crack pipe under the bed towards the wall in the corner of the room. I am in room 246. I went to the office and gave the crack pipe to the manager. I then requested that I get a full refund and was denied. The manager said that if I had found the crack pipe sooner in my stay I would get a full refund. Here is the thing- If there was a crack pipe in this room either 1) it was left here by a house keeper 2) the house keeper did not do their job or 3) this room was not cleaned at all. How do I know that I have not been sleeping in the same sheets as a crack head these last couple of days? I do not use drugs nor do I even drink.
This hotel was scheduled through hotwire, which I have contacted. Hotwire will not refund us the full refund because the hotel will not refund us the whole total for the complete reservation. This hotel will only refund me for half of the stay. So, should I have searched my whole room for a crack pipe before I stayed? How is this ethically or morally correct?
I will go to every length in my power to get a full refund, whether that be through my bank or legal action. This hotel is a disgrace.
