VERY ANGRY. I went to St. Luke's because the nurse line for my insurance company advised it when I explained I had a stabbing pain in the back of my head that was increasing in frequency for two days and was debilitating. I spent about four hours at the hospital, which was fine, got IV medicines, had about a total of 20-30 minutes face time with the doctors and nurses, had a CT scan, and I am being billed $1700 for a SINGLE one of the doctors (of which my insurance is only paying $250) - a person who did not even touch me, spoke with me maybe three times for a total of 15 minutes. (The total hospital bill is $7,500, which also seems obscene). I could keep going... But definitely ask at EVERY step how much you will be charged because I feel like I have been robbed blind.
