| - Stopped for Sunday lunch here -- first timers.
The place was super busy, but the service was still excellent.
They bring chips with four salsa options on the table to start with. All four were tasty. It is difficult to stop eating them so... leave room for you HUGE plate of food!
I ordered one of the combination plates that included taco, rilleno, enchilada, and tamale. The relleno is delicious! The taco and enchilada were good, tamale was seasoned well, just spicy enough. Also included the typical rice and beans.
The plate itself is a large amount of food, so be prepared for some good leftovers. And when you choose your salsa (red or green), and they ask you mild or hot, be prepared for the "hot" to be hot (the kind of hot that works like a slow burn and creeps up on you and suddenly you realize the stuff is burning the inside of your ears... that kind of hot, which I like as long as it doesn't overpower the flavor of the salsa, which in this case, it did not). Good balance of hot and savory on the salsas.
They end the meal with a warm sopaipilla, regular or cinnamon & sugar.
Ambience is average, but a good stop for Mexican food to "hit the spot."
