I came here for a large office party thrown by the law firm my boyfriend works for, and it was a pleasant enough experience. The food was a mix of good and really really bad. The brisket was decent as was the Mediterranean chicken and the various sides, but the peanut butter cream pie seemed to have come from the Giant Eagle freezer aisle and the salmon was so fishy you could smell it from ten feet away! (I'm from California, I know what good fish is like and this wasn't it.)
On the other hand, the service was top notch from start to finish. The staff were friendly and helpful, even tracking down rude guests who had ordered a drink and wandered away from the bar area. Seriously, who does that? Our plates were all cleared in a timely fashion, and overall they did a wonderful job of keeping the rather chaotic party space clean and orderly without interrupting the flow of events.
After our private event had ended, my boyfriend and I wandered out to the dance floor and enjoyed a few songs. The live band was suitable for the purpose of playing for mostly drunken suburbanites, which is exactly what they were doing. It was definitely an older crowd (I nearly got pulled into a post-menopausal conga line!) but everyone seemed to be having a great time. I'd gladly come back here for any event I was attending as a guest, but this isn't exactly the sort of place I'd pay out of pocket for.
