I've been looking forward to visiting this place for a while to benefit from their 1$ oyster special. At first, I was very impressed by their decor. I've been walking by this place for decades and I would've never known that there could have been such a beautiful place tucked in here right under my nose. Unfortunately, that's where my compliments cease.
The food I've had at this place has likely been one of the worst in Montreal. Gordon Ramsay has a saying where the first thing he tries when he gets to a restaurant are its crab cakes, as that's a sure tell sign of the kitchen's competence. For 25$, I would have expected more than the two sorry raw mashed potato dough balls they presented me. To complement it, they had a cheap salad with goop as dressing. The 1$ oysters were okay.
While I was eating, the table next to me told me they felt sorry for us, as they had ordered the same thing and their food was terrible. The waiter was new and didn't really do anything about the situation, even after us having vocalized our discontent.
Strongly recommend you take your patronage elsewhere.
