Recently diagnosed with a possible heart problem, I went to Tri-City Cardiologists to have a full workup. I had the initial exam, where the day before I was called and told if I was late I would be charged $25.00. I was the very first patient, and proceeded to wait over two hours to see the Doctor. The Doctor's appointment went well, despite how long it took. I later had an echo and a stress test done which were also good experiences. I returned my heart monitor a day late because of a difficult work schedule and I was asked if I knew there was a $250.00 late fee. In this particular case, instead of being called the day before I was called the day after. The receptionist was rude (not the first time) and I personally was shocked that there was such little regard for the patient. Whether I pay the $250.00 is inconsequential. What is clear is that I cannot trust this organization, as their primary purpose is to gouge you, whatever the cost. A reasonable fee would have been understandable, but that was clearly not the case. What is clear to me is that I do not trust them. It appears that the almighty dollar is more important to this business than the welfare of the patient. I am a strong, confident person, but I left this office shaken by the experience. I will not return to or recommend this business under any circumstance.
