We arrived late afternoon on a Saturday and we should have known from the empty parking lot something was up. Where was everyone? Other than the employees, there were no other patrons. Food was expensive for each plate and not much for the price. My ribs were tough and the sauce seemed watered down. Overall, the food was not so good. Tolerable but not satisfying at all. It was a little dark inside and in need of updating. Don't get me wrong. I didn't mind too much on how it looked. It was clean. I was there for good bbq. Or, so I thought. I have had bbq from fancy restaurants to bbq shacks that have had bullet proof windows. Believe it or not, the bullet proof shack had one of the best bbq around. I go anywhere for bbq. It's been years since I've been to that shack. Probably have to roll up in a tank now, just to be safe. Anyway, however bad the experience at Honey Bear's, I do have to say that the employees at Honey Bear's were friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, we won't be back.
