  • It was a great tour experience at the Steam Whistle Brewery. The story behind the story is interesting too. It was founded by three co-workers who were fired after takeover of the brewery they used to work at by their new owners. So, they decided to start their own brewery and dedicate the rest of their lives to creating a fine pilsner. The green colored bottles are based on the retro style from the 50s. There are a lot of things to admire about their business. 1. The recipe of their beer is rather simple - spring water from Caledon, malted barley, hops and yeast. No GMO shit. No funky ingredients you can't pronounce. 2. They are 100% powered by green energy. 3. Their bottles are made with 30% more glass, so they can be refilled more than 45 times. 4. They take care of their employees very well. And there is a great deal of camaraderie between them, as they all drink together everyday after work. :-) About the tour, it was very good and informative. We also enjoyed their unfiltered beer, which can only be enjoyed at the brewery and we liked it much better than it's filtered and well-behaved cousin.
