Four stars for the food.
This place is known for their chicken fried steak which is what I had. For me, a little too much breading and not nearly enough gravy. The flavor however was legit. Better than homemade. (I couldn't stand my step mothers chicken fried steak. Lol).
The plate came with mashed potatoes that were outstanding! And corn which was as one would expect, and a buttermilk biscuit (nothing to write home about). We got an order of fried okra and that was fantastic. Just the right breading and the dipping sauce was out of this world!
The atmosphere here is of a style I like. Kind of divey, and full of nostalgia. Service was really good, and maybe just a little "too" attentive.
Fun place though! I'll be back. I want to try their bbq brisket.
