| - The Holden Arboretum is THE place to go to get back in tune with nature. It is beautiful, impeccably kept, and full of interesting plant and animal life.
Check out the Murch Canopy Walk at the height of fall foliage. Its open from April 1 - November 1, and its best to call ahead for a ticket ($14 for adults). The Canopy Walk is a 500ft long elevated walkway built 65ft above the forest, giving an incredible panorama of the grounds. Once you enter the walk, and take the time to travel from segment to segment, the whole experience takes 1-2 hours.
Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a camera, and keep an eye on little ones. It is absolutely safe and family friendly, but the canopy can feel a little wobbly, as its suspended from the trees. This might cause anxiety for little ones, especially if kids are jumping on it (a big no-no). If you have time, check out the Emergent Tower, or have a picnic in one of the pavilions.
