  • One of the best bakeries in the Madison area. Their breakfast sandwich is a SERIOUS contender to that of 4 and 20. (So far, the top three are Bloom, 4 and 20, and Underground Butcher, but I'm open to suggestions...) The subtle touch of mustard really takes it over the top. Plus the bacon and cheese are top quality, like most locally sourced ingredients at Bloom. I'm also a newly converted fan of their doughnuts. They're almost too good to dip into coffee, lest you lose the tiniest crumb... (What a dilemma.) And don't even get me started about the cupcakes. I usually poo-poo vegan and gluten-free bakery items, but theirs are the best in the pack. Definitely a great place to stop if you are headed out of Madison for the day and are passing through Middleton.
