This review is regarding post op care in a recovery room. I had hematoma evacuation at piper center. Obviously it's not covered by insurance so everything is being paid in cash. Nurses before my surgery were nice and took good care of me. As I was coming out of anesthesia I could hear 3-4 nurses loudly talking about whatever their life problems are: yard work, restaurants, etc. I was in horrible pain and unbelievably thirsty . I said " excuse me", I was the only one in recovery room. No one even heard me behind their loud conversations. I repeated again, trying as much as I can to speak louder as I was so weak! Finally one nurse acknowledged and said wait a minute sweetie, and kept talking to fellow nurses. I had repeat my request for water several times before she brought it for me! And It was an outpatient procedure, I cannot even imagine staying there longer than an hour. How people (nurses) could be so insensitive! Choose another profession where you don't have to take care of people! I am going to call and ask for the names of these nurses.
