With this place you need to look WAY past management (the owner) and a FEW of the wait staff to be able to enjoy it. One time they actually had happy hour prices posted on the large chalkboard above the bar, about 4ft. by 10ft., (not good with measurements but it is a sign very hard to miss) and then when the bill came everything was full price. When we asked "What's Up?" They said they would not honor it anymore because "It was a mistake", "They weren't doing happy hour anymore". Yet, the next time we went in it was still listed on the huge chalkboard above the bar. Now, What's up with that?
It's amazing that they really have some of the best, accommodating wait staff and mangers around, but they also have the other end of the spectrum. What a shame, because they do have some great food that is tasty and unique. The Hawaiian pizza is to die for, and so is the Lobster Mac N' Cheese Crock.
What we found what works for us is that we sit at the bar when we know the friendly staff is working and eat good food and have a great time. It is really a place where you need to look past arrogant management (the owner) if you want to enjoy the food. In the summer you can't beat the patio. So I guess my rating reflects knowing about the staff and my choice to eat good food and have a good experience. Just walking in off the street your experience might be different.
