I actually had a very good stay here. Had a short notice wedding to attend in Phoenix. It fell on Father's Day weekend as well, so availability in the area was limited when I booked my flight.
I stayed here 4 nights. My room was clean and housekeeping did a great job keeping things stocked and tidy. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
I ate breakfast most mornings in the on-site restaurant. The food was good and they were happy to accommodate my special dietary requests (like lower fat milk for my coffee instead of those generic creamer tubs).
My 5 year old grandson joined me one morning for breakfast and was delighted they had frosted flakes and felt very grown up pouring his own milk from the 'fancy silver' spout server.
Being I was here during June and record breaking heat, cold air conditioning and decent linens made my stay enjoyable. The ability to grab meals without leaving the building also was a huge relief to me. My room also had a refrigerator and microwave so I was able to stock up on water (it was 120 degrees here that week!), fruit and even sandwich makings so I didn't have to wander out for a snack or full meal when I was hot and tired.
Holiday Inn is a place I can usually trust. I would definitely stay here again as I have lots of family and friends in Arizona so I visit at least once a year.
The location is close to food, shopping, entertainment and I 17.
I had no problems or complaints. The price was much better than many hotels and provided everything I expected on my visit.
