| - Located on a corner with several other ethnic cuisine restaurants, Red Sea's front doesn't stand out and if you aren't paying attention, you'll pass right by without noticing (like we did). Plenty of parking in front and back on a Weds night. Decor was worn but comfortable, and you have the choice of sitting at the little round tables (for sharing food) or at a larger table. We were the only ones in the place for a while so service was fantastic. Our waitress was really nice and answered any questions we had.
I had the Vegetarian option and my friend got the first chicken choice (I don't recall the name) and both were served on one large piece of injera. The waitress asked if we wanted separate plates so the meat doesn't mesh with the veggie entree, but I'm not picky about my self imposed vegetarianism. I was told the chicken was very well flavored and the sauce it was in was dang good. My veggie entree consisted of 5-6 portions of vegetable matter. I really couldn't tell you what was what, but it was all good. The spicy, onion-y dish was pretty spicy, so hurray for spicy lovers. They also provide a side of the injera to use while the plate injera is still serving as a plate. That was useful. I just like eating with my fingers.
Also had the honey wine that's not on the menu, but I did not like it, too alcohol-y. Then again, I'm not a huge wine drinker, so try it yourself for a different kind of wine.
Four stars for character and good food.
