| - This place s the victim of its own success. By 11, we felt the effect of the overcrowding. There were huge lineups to get tickets, followed by line ups for the tractor. The corn maze was definitely not worth the $12 we paid for as adults. The only part that I liked was that it led to a little path in the woods that was fun.
Apple-picking? I've never been so stressed about apple-picking in my entire life. First of all, by noon, there were barely any decent apples left that were within arms reach. There are 5-10 people per tree. We were literally chasing down the few ladders that were available in order to pick the ones at the top of the trees. Once you got a ladder, you had to fight dearly to hang on to it. And because there are literally 5-10 people staring at you as you pick your apples, you feel so guilty that you try to pick them as fast as possible. Forget having your kids pick apples. First, they can't reach them, Second, once you've helped them off the ladder, someone else's kids is on it, and by then, you could forget picking anything until you find the next empty ladder. It was an awful experience, I will never go back on a weekend ever again.
