I didn't really love or hate this place. I don't know if I'll travel down to the depths of mexico again (the area was a bit frightening for me), but the food was overall good.
I came with 4 friends on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. No wait, no problem getting a table.
We were served bread which I found odd. Bread with my mexican food? I'd rather have chips and salsa, but I guess bread works. Needless to say we didn't finish it. It came with this tangy salsa stuff. I don't know what all was in it. Maybe roasted red peppers, mushrooms and capers? It was decent. A little too on the tangy side. I ate my bread slices plain. My friend HAD to order the guac. It came with dried cranberries in it. Very basic tasting considering it's added flare. I didn't find it amazing or worth the $10.95 it cost, but whatever. She enjoyed it thoroughly and it got me some chips in the end.
I got the "Chicken Tacos" and it came 4 on my plate. Decided to go with the fries instead of the salad, and they were brought out with a chipotle ketchup. Can't argue with the portion size, but I'm not a guy. I actually had left overs so I can't argue with that. My friend got the cardne asada tacos and those looked good. Other friend got some chirizo potatoes and a egg fratata thing off the brunch menu... She liked it. I dunno. Nothing I would order.
I can say that I missed beans & rice and being served chips and salsa. In the end I spent 20 bucks for a diet coke, 4 tacos, a few slices of bread, and some fries... Your call.
Oh and parking sucks :)
