| - Both the cycle and yoga studios are beautiful. The cycle studio has the best lighting I've experienced in any cycle studio. The bathrooms are always pristine and the place is constantly maintained.
Bikes: I've been several times where the bikes that I've been on were clicking, or the pedals loose or simply were broken. While you can make an exception one time, maybe even twice... when it happens several times, you don't take getting a working bike for granted. This should never be the case.
Instructors: Amber is amazing. She's rides with you the entire time, she's enthusiastic, clear with her instructions and you can feel the passion she has for the sport. Jen (the owner of the studio) can be a great instructor when she stays on the bike for the majority of the time, but more often than not she's off the bike and dancing around, usually putting someone else on her bike. To me, no matter how energetic her dancing and moving about the room is, it's uninspiring and not what I expect from a CYCLE instructor. If I was in a dance class, it would be totally different but I look to my cycle instructor for form, direction and inspiration. Like if they can do it, I can too or if she can push harder, then I can too... but to me, when they spend more time off the bikes it send the message to me that they would rather not cycle and would rather take the easier route of prancing around the room.
Overall, when I first started coming to XCYCLE, I was impressed that I finally found a studio in Las Vegas that could be comparable to the high standards that soul cycle has set, but overtime I feel liked they've slipped in quality control.
