| - I went in with my friend who was a customer and wanted to get an adjustment at around 3 pm. We weren't sure if they would be open since it's Labor Day weekend, but the light was on so we went in. After parking, we went in and were told that the doctor was out to lunch for the next 30+ minutes. I am all for the doctor or employee taking their lunch break, but had we known, we would have gone somewhere else for the time left. No sign or anything telling us "the doctor is out until x time, but feel free to come in." My friend voiced a complaint that this would be a nice courtesy for customers who in this situation would rather run somewhere else in the meantime. Of course, the employee there told us what the corporate policy is and how they can't post anything like that because they would have to lock the door (or somesuch nonsense). She wasn't interested in taking the complaint/advise and maybe channeling it up to management as a suggestion, and after a time became hostile. The front-desk employee then started to go into accusing my friend of being hostile before and was unwilling to deal with her beyond "here is the e-mail for the district manager" and then tried to discuss what had happened in prior visits with me instead of my friend (the incident in that case was where one other Joint location sent my friend to this same one, which then turned around and sent her back to the prior location, causing a huge waste of time). Short of all of this is that I feel that customer service is very poor at the front desk, and the individual seemed more interested in writing off a customer suggestion or complaint to "thats just our policy" rather than do anything to help/assuage the customer or to pass the customer suggestion up the chain.
I was somewhat disappointed personally as I was considering them for a source for any work I may need done related to sports injuries (as I am physically active in my mid-30s), and I am sure their doctors are fine based on what I have heard. However, as a prospective customer I will not be going here in the future simply based on the horrendous and confrontational front desk service I have seen.
