Sadly, I moved away from my very capable and knowing chiropractor in Toronto and had to find somebody new. I just wanted a chiropractic adjustment. Went to Streetsville Chiropractic with a very clear list of afflictions I suffer from and treatment suggestions that have worked for me in the past.
Immediately, I was rushed into expensive X-rays and booked three appointments in the next week without so much as asking if I was interested in continuing with their practice. Yes, a single week - three chiropractic appointments (a plan they intended to have me on for three months, at which point I could taper). I had to attend a group meeting where we were set up for a huge guilt trip on our spending habits and and I immediately knew where this was going: Prepare to pay up, in time and money, "for your health".
Everything they say sounds very good. If I had the money and time I'd probably have taken the bait, but after dropping a few hundred dollars in one week on adjustments that are literally *two minutes long* and feeling like a cog in an assembly line I just couldn't justify continuing with the treatment program. A treatment that catered in no way to my needs specifically - it is a program that is geared towards your finances and how much money they can get out of you.
