| - My hair stylist, Rutha, is Cambodian.
And she just returned from her trip during the holidays, visiting her family in Phnom Penh.
She just raved about how great the Cambodian food was during her trip. Then, she advised and directed us to this place as she had nothing but good things to say about how authentic it was.
Okay already! We will try this place out.
Actually, we didn't plan on eating here this particular day. I just happened to cut through mid-town phoenix since there was an accident on the I-10.
As I was stuck in traffic on Indian School, I spotted this place, and we just decided to pull in around 5:30PM.
The parking lot was empty, and the restaurant only had a few customers dining.
Perfect! We didn't have to jockey for good service since there is barely anyone here.
Yut greeted us and promptly seated us by the window.
The atmosphere is nice, for a small place. The aroma of the food being prepared did permeate the dining area, and it just heightened our enthusiasm for the food.
We ordered the Phnom Penh noodle soup, the chicken fried rice, and the Cambodian BBQ Platter. The soup came out first, and it was just heavenly.
The soup's delicate flavor, along with the chicken was just superb.
Then the Chicken Fried Rice along with the Cambodian BBQ Platter arrived, and we must say that both were absolutely unique and delicious. Well prepared, presented, and seasoned. Now, we know what all of the buzz was about this particular place.
We have been back a few more times after our initial visit, and have NOT yet been disappointed with both their food and their service!
