| - I had postponed doing Lasik for years, just for fear of the what if's; typically I am not a fearful person, but when it comes to my visionn that is another story. I had a prescription of -6.00 and a bit of astigmatism at 125. As it turned out, on the day of the procedure I was told Dr. Perry felt that the cornea on my right yey wes too thin for Lasik, however he could perform PRK which would be a safer procedure to do under the circumstances. I had read about PRK before I even went for my evaluation, so I felt that was sensible and I was comfortable going forward. I am not going to say that the few minutes it takes for the procedure iis not a little unnerving, however, there is no pain or discomfort and Dr. Perry is encouraging and sympathetic throughout the procedure. I felt that everyone at Lasik Plus was kind, attentive, and professional. They rook the time to explain everything to me and prepared me on what to expect during my recovery, and rverything they said was right on point! Even though the recovery for PRK is slower thzn Lasik, I am pretty dure that now at 10 days out I have 20/20 vision, andI am no where near being fully recovered! Thanks to Dr. Perry and all his support staff, this procedure has been life changing and I am so glad to have done it!
