  • This is a mega-Courtyard and its really quite fabulous. A 6-story affair that's connected to a giant Residence Inn of equal size. The facility is brand new. I didn't do a lot of exploring but what I did see I liked a lot. The rooms are well appointed - good desk, lots of light and comfortable bed. The shower is huge and a glass walk-in. Flat screen and hangers with hooks (instead of posts which drive me crazy). The new Courtyard concept has a meeting area / bar in the lobby area and a "bistro" that is fully staffed and has coffee concoctions along with light breakfasts and sandwiches. Its a HUGE step up from the older and more tired Courtyard concept. I had a couple of pages that needed printing this morning. they have a hip business center and open printers - took all of 5 minutes to get what I needed. For a city that where you need reservations a month in advance to get a room downtown, this is a much needed addition to the Calgary room scene. Free WiFi. 20 Minutes to the City Centre.
